Yakutia Begins Ecological Monitoring in VSTO Zone
The state contract for holding the monitoring is valid for three years.
YAKUTSK. April 29 VOSTOK MEDIA – Ecological monitoring along the oil pipe-line Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean (VSTO-Russian acronym) will be held in Yakutia. The main executor of great science work is the Institute for Applied Ecology. The three-year work is estimated at 5200 rubles.
Sakha News reports that complex ecological monitoring of natural ecosystem conditions in the VSTO zone was carried out on initiative of two republican ministries – the Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Environment. The state contract is valid for three years, so the entire work is divided into three stages. This year the Institute for Applied Ecology plans to make first field researches at the sum of 1,5 million rubles.
