The new regulations for obtaining Schengen visa will not reach Russian citizens

VLADIVOSTOK. June 29. VOSTOK-MEDIA – New regulations concerning fingerprints capturing for obtaining a Schengen visa introduced by EU will not reach Russian citizens, stated press secretary of Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina with reference to Department of Consular Service of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She said that prior to it Russia and Schengen countries signed an agreement that simplifies visa regime for Russian citizens. “To obtain Schengen visa Russians should pay 35 Euro. This is a standard requirement of Schengen countries for Russian citizens.” – said the press secretary.
According to Tyurina, fingerprinting procedure may be introduced only when fingerprint scanning facilities will be introduced in consulates of relevant countries, which operates in submitting documents to obtain a British visa.
