US Navy GM Destroyer Stethem Arrives in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. June 30. VOSTOK-MEDIA – On June 1, US Navy guided missile destroyer Stethem arrives with a business call at the main base of the RF Navy Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok.
This visit will be the second call at the capital of Primorskiy Krai, reported public relations department of RF Navy Pacific Fleet. In May, last year, its crew took part in Victory Parade in Vladivostok for the first time. And this time the Stethem’s call at the port is arranged to coincide with two holidays - Independence Day and 149th anniversary of Vladivostok.
The official call of the US Navy destroyer at the port of Vladivostok will be followed by a range of festive events, including the ship’s participation in events dedicated to Vladivostok’s foundation anniversary.
Unofficial meetings between the US sailors and their colleagues from the RF Navy Pacific Fleet as well as Vladivostok’s residents, visiting children’s rehabilitation center ‘Mayak’, return visit of its orphans to the ship’s board and sport meetings are scheduled in the framework of the visit.
The visit of US Navy will last for six days.
