Two Injured after Fire Breaks out at Berth in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. August 31. VOSTOK-MEDIA – A fire broke out on board a launch at the berth in Ulis Bay leaving two people injured.

A few minutes after the fire was reported fire-fighting teams arrived at the scene of accident. To prevent the fire from spreading to other vessels the firefighters unmoored the launch and sailed it out of the bay. To put out the burning vessel a Pacific Fleet fire-fighting boat was engaged.

The two injured, a five-year-old boy and a 19-year-old girl, were brought to a local hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation, the regional branch of the Emergency Situations Ministry said in a statement.
