Shanghai Cooperation Organization Controls Energy Resources

MOSCOW. 31 October. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Chairman of the Russian Government, Vladimir Putin, spoke at the SCO Council of Chairmen in Astana.
He said that in the condition of the world financial crisis members of the organization had to cooperate closely in order to overcome the consequences. This goes along with the Dushanbe Declaration on adequate currency and finance control after capital movement. Vladimir Putin also said that strengthening of cooperation and implementing of joint initiatives could help stable economic growth in the region.
Having taken into consideration a new edited program on multilateral trade and economic cooperation members agreed to work out a set of measures. A special attention will be given to different investment projects in infrastructure, construction, energy supply, transportation and information technologies.
Vladimir Putin said that custom officers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization members signed a protocol which was aimed at changing information about movement of energy resources. Implementing of this tool can help provide necessary consistency and uniformity of custom registration and control on the boundaries of the members.
Counterparts singed as well documents about financial and organizational aspects of the organization including its budget 2009. Members came to an agreement about further development of the Shanghai Organization and global processes being evaluated. All measures are declared in the final communiqué, said Vladimir Putin.
