VLADIVOSTOK. March 2. VOSTOK-MEDIA – There is every reason to think that oil harbor in Koz’mino situated near Nakhodka city (Primorskiy Krai) will be brought into operation in December.
“The bringing of the oil port in operation will take some time. It is one of the most difficult stages of the project. At the present time 4,900 workers participate in structural assembly of the oil harbor and 50 % of them are local population.” –said Lev Panchenko, manager of the special oil harbor under construction.
Sergey Darkin, Governor of Primorskiy Krai visited the object on Tuesday.
“The first tanker will depart the harbor in December, 2009. Speed of construction of oil-loading harbor Koz’mino is in accordance with schedule confirmed by the RF Government. In December of the current year the first stage of the construction will be completed. And at the same time oil will be exported.”- stated the Governor at the conference concerning the construction of the object.
Thus grand project on development of the cross-country pipeline system initiated by ‘Transneft’ is nearing completion.
The port in the Koz’mino bay is the terminal point of the cross-country pipeline under construction ‘Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean’.
The pipeline will be capable of 80 million ton annually.
Investment value of the project accounts for more that 40 billion rubles.
