The Government of Khabarovsk Territory presented to members of Duma outline plan for sustainable economic development and social stability in 2015. One of the points of the arrangement is monitoring. This function is performed by working groups within the crisis management committee of the Khabarovsk Territory for each of the branches. According to the chairman of the Standing Committee of the local Legislative Duma on industry, business and infrastructure Peter Boychuk, the territory remains a problem with the gas. Local authorities are trying to stabilize its value, because it is tied to the dollar. This is the only region in the Russian Far East, where the price of gas is measured in US currency.
Deputy Chairman of the District Council Sergei Lugovskoy believes that the time interval necessary to feel the pressure on Russia and sanctions affect the economy of the region.
"We should consider the worst options. On the basis of these, authorities should plan the most important thing - to ensure our social obligations to citizens. Today there is a great dael of those who receive support from the government, and we should not disturb this area. Of course, sanctions, the dollar exchange rate are influencing the situation, so we need to balance everything. Within six months, comes clarity. But we can not sit back and wait for the economy will work. We have to think about what we ourselves need to take action, in particular, to support small and medium businesses. Also today, we must be open, we have to engage in dialogue with the population, " — said Sergey Lugovskoy.
