Primorye and Yakutia will be transferred to the 7th time zone (+6 MSK)
KHABAROVSK. August 15. VOSTOK-MEDIA - The Ministry of Industry and Trade Ministry has proposed to change the time zones of the Irkutsk Region, Primorye and Yakutia.
According to the draft government decision, the Maritime Territory and the Irkutsk Region are invited for an hour closer to Moscow, to reduce the current time difference. With regard to Yakutia, instead of 3 time zones, it will remain one, the same as in Primorye.
Thus, on 30 October 2011, when the changes take effect, Primorsky Territory and Yakutia will be transferred to the 7th time zone (+6 MSK), and the Irkutsk region in the 5th (+4 MSK).
